New Jersey Education and Seminars, LLC (NJES) has been providing professional education to electrical contractors and electricians since 2011. We are proud to offer a U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL)–approved 4-Year Electrical Apprenticeship Program designed to support career advancement and licensing eligibility.

How the Program Works
NJES Provides RTI
NJES delivers Related Technical Instruction (RTI) through a fully virtual, self-paced format. No classroom attendance is required.
Employer Provides OJT
All On-the-Job Training (OJT) is provided by the apprentice’s employer in accordance with USDOL apprenticeship guidelines.

Who This Program Is Designed For
- Experienced electricians who did not complete a formal apprenticeship
- Individuals who are not currently eligible to sit for the NJ Electrical Contractor exam
- Electricians seeking to complete missing apprenticeship years
Minimum Eligibility
Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of full-time, verifiable experience as a working electrician.
For Employers: Become a Recognized Apprenticeship Shop
NJES serves as an approved apprenticeship intermediary and can assist licensed electrical contractors with:
- Apprentice enrollment
- Program participation guidance
- Becoming a recognized apprenticeship employer
Participation can help employers attract stronger candidates, retain skilled workers, and offer employees a documented pathway for advancement.
Important: Apprenticeship credit is only earned while working for an approved apprenticeship employer.
Student Tuition & Fees (2026-2027)
Tuition may vary based on prior experience, apprenticeship credit, and program evaluation.

| Student Placement Fee | $375 Due at placement sign-on.
Student placement is the initial review of all student provide documentation. Example, certificates, transcripts, work verification forms, all forms of documentation specific to RTI credit, OJL/OJT, placement year and testing-out. Student placement fee is not refundable. |

This NJES program is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Completion of this program does not guarantee approval by the New Jersey Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors for licensure. Applicants must independently satisfy all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to review all requirements directly through the New Jersey Board. NJES also offers electrical exam preparation and continuing education for New Jersey electrical license renewal under a separate program and fees.
