Reinstating your Class A Journeyman license.

 

If your Class A Journeyman license has expired, you may be eligible to reinstate your license.  If your reinstatement is due to not having completed your required 15-CEU’s in the 2024 Cycle, NJES is now offering a 16-CEU course to meet the 2024 Cycle requirement. The fist course will be virtual.  Conducted over 7-Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8:15 pm.

Starting, February 25th through April 8, 2026. Earn 16-CEU’s. Registration is Closed

 

EXPIRED Class A Journeyman
February 25th through April 8, 2026. Earn 16-CEU’s.

16-CEU Virtual NJ and the NEC 2023.  This course is conducted over 7-evenings. Starting Wednesday, February 25th through April 8, 2026.
Earn 16-CEU’s.   Course start time is 6:00 pm to 8:15pm. All evenings must be attended for credit.  No make up date has been scheduled.
Course Cost: $400.00
   Seating is limited.

 

Confirm your eligibility.

  • Visit the New Jersey Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors website, Reinstatement page to confirm you are eligible to “reinstate”.
  • Confirm what continuing education credits (CEU’s) you are in need of.  Example, If no CEU ‘s taken in the 2024 renewal cycle, you will need 15-CEU’s.
  • Submission of a your reinstatement application.
  • The above may be in addition to other Board requirements depending on your specific situation.

 


Only need a few CEU’s, checkout NJES other course offerings.  Do not. loose this valuable license.  To obtain a Class A Journeyman license today you will need to have completed a 4-year apprenticeship program approved by the US Department of Labor.   NJES now offers the 4-Year apprenticeship program  approved by the US Department of Labor for electrical professionals that have been working in the field for a minimum of 8-years.
